Sarah's Wedding
Here's how Sarah's wedding worked. First, Mom and Stepmom, plus two flower girls, walked down the beach towards the Russian River.

Next, Dad rowed Sarah down the river in a canoe. It wasn't easy -- there was a cross current and he was in a suit. But he docked on the beach and they both got out.

They walked up the beach towards the crowd of people waiting for them, including the groom, all the attendants and the band.

Chuck walked Sarah down the aisle, hugged her, and she continued on.

She stood under the chuppa with her brother in the background. She got married.

Then she walked back down the beach with her groom and he rowed her away. Chuck walked down the beach with no canoe and no more daughter.

Well, not really. They only rowed around the corner. But it was all quite symbolic and touching. Then, the party started.

Whose job was it to tie tin cans to the canoe?
This is pretty nifty - it looks like it was perfect weather. (If it was me though, it would have to be a power boat or else there would be a LONG wait.)
Oh, this is very sweet ~ what a lovely memory for everyone!
I thought last year was the wedding year. How many more have you got? Seems while everyone in my life is dying, yours are getting married! What gives?
