Lenticular and Testicular

A songwriter loves great rhymes, and also hudibrastics, which is John Barth's term for words that almost rhyme, but don't really, unless you're the world's worst poet.

How can you beat this: in Rock Creek, Montana, they have the

TESTICLE FESTIVAL

Apparently Rocky Mountain Oysters are consumed here with glee. You can't write that. Nobody would believe it. But somebody did and God Bless Him (Her).

----

Moving on, kind of, Plotnik's friend Ken sent these astonishing photos of Mt. Ranier with a strange kind of cloud above it, that signifies rain. The clouds are called Lenticular Clouds.

You can see where we're going with this, rhyme-wise.

The first of the three images was the background on my computer up until about a week ago! Now it's this beauty: http://www.phys.ncku.edu.tw/~astrolab/mirrors/apod/image/0705/deathvalleysky_nps_big.jpg. That's a place called Racetrack Playa in Death Valley. Pretty cool stuff. To help you on your rhyming endeavor, here's another fun site (OK, I think it's fun...) to play around on: http://cloudappreciationsociety.org/

Have fun!
