Farmer Sam's Blue Tooth Potluck Party - 1

Farmer Sam's Blue Tooth Potluck Party rocked, as Chef Pickle-nik had predicted.

Chef Pickle never stopped smiling. It may have been a reaction caused by massive infusions of duck confit plus the antibiotics she kept hidden in her water bottle.

The vineyard itself is lovely, with old and new blended together in an elegantly Northern California way. Around the world Saturday night there were probably quite a few parties in vineyards, but few had...

...a barn decorated in Japanese lanterns and fabrics for the magician and d.j...

...vines laden with baby green grapes...

...and a hundred and fifty or more enormous trays of scrumptiferous food, each dish the specialty of the chef or food journalist or cookbook designer or truffle junkie who brought it. Poor, poor Plotnik was disoriented the entire evening, trying to conjure a method to taste everything, a task that proved impossible.

Oh, how lovely and lavish. So sorry I missed it. I'll reserve a rare weekend off for two years from now.
