Recording

The Great Plotnik is recording again. The ostensible reason is to put down reference rhythm and vocal tracks for his newer songs, to send to The Great Nefnik, who has promised to record live drums onto the tracks and send them back up to Plotnik. It sounds complicated, and is, but at the very least has gotten The Great Procrastinator-nik back into the studio.

Of course, Plotnik has changed the rules a tiny bit -- he wants to get a few older tunes recorded as well, and lo and behold he has discovered all three are in 3/4 time. There has probably never been a country waltz that Plottie didn't love.

Here are the tracks he has finished so far:

1) Starry-Eyed Traveler (piano)
2) Who Will Be Our Mandela? (guitar)
3) Temptation (piano)
4) The Dream Dies Hard (piano)

Today he will record 5) Diamonds (ukelele)

He also wants to include 6) Watsonville (accordion), and two Isabella songs: 7) Bum Be Um Be Baby (guitar) and 8) Don't Cry, Baby I (baglama). That ought to get things moving for awhile.
