Two and a Half Stars with a Noose, and then Maya!
She's got spunk. She's got dreams. She's dead meat.
Two and a Half Stars with a Noose. (The Great Plotnik needs to find a noose that he can reduce to be more or less this size: ☼.) If you have the stomach for starvation, or need a reminder that everything good turns to crud, by all means go see Sam Shepards's "Curse of the Starving Class" at A.C.T. You can access the SF Theater Blog review here, but make sure you stop for a bite first.
By far, the most amazing thing about last night's performance is that The Great Wally-Nik's grand-daughter Maya is understudying for the role of Emma, seen above. She stopped Plot and Duck on the way out of the theater to say hello. Maya was always gorgeous, but now...stop the trains. What a sweetheart too, just like her Grandpa.
In a further coincidence, Hanky Girl and Beth, two Tiaposians Emeritae, were sitting in the same row as Plot and Duck. No more than an hour before Maya turned up, Beth asked whether or not anyone had talked to Wally? Nope. And then: Maya.
Wally-Nik has moved into assisted living, but is doing very well and is in two (2) writing groups. More to follow.

That Maya is a popular girl. I heard from her dad that she's bunking with him for the month.
