A Clip For the Ages - NOT!

As far back as Plottie can remember, he has never seen a catch like this one. Please play the short clip to the end and make sure to listen to the announcers. Ladies, you're a-gonna love this too.

But now read the accompanying comments, and you, like The Great Plotnik, will realize just how easily we can all be duped. Plot's eyes told him it wasn't possible for this woman to do what she did, and his common sense told him no left fielder would just stand there dumbfounded and watch her do it and yet...it was so wonderful, he was willing to suspend his disbelief.

And it's all phony, one more scum-soaked lie from an ad man's gray heart. Jeez, it makes ya sick. Plottie will certainly never buy a bottle of Gatorade again.

Oh dude. You still haven't seen it. How hard did you take it when you found out that hamburgers didn't have any ham in them?

This is all fake. The girl was on wires, the ball didn't exist - it was added in post. This was to be a commercial for Gatorade that was shelved, but has been "mysteriously" leaked.

The first time I saw this though, the first thing I thought was that she was interfering with a ball in play. But that it was cool. It hurt when I found that it was fake and a marketing thing.

That's the world we live in...

If what NotThat says is true, and it seems to be, this is really hard to take. Every time I see something amazing that points to the glory of the human spirit, it turns out to be a faked commercial. I'm stunned and sorry I laid this one on you.

Yes it hurts. But it is still a great catch, even if she didn't catch it, even if there was no real ball, even if they hauled her up the wall using wires. Ooh those rotten pig dogs.
