MORE XO

Plotnik is back at his post at XOXO Coffee this morning, and the crazy old lady is still sitting in the same seat, wearing the same clothes, reading what looks like today's, not yesterday's paper, but it's rumpled up and folded a million times, just like yesterday.

She just said: "Whatever Kennedy died, I hope they get."

Plot thinks she means she hopes they cure brain cancer. He hopes so too.

It's nice coming down here and it's even nicer not having the internet working at the house. No checking email every little while. No surfing for meaningless doofuses saying moronic platitudes. No trashing Guru Satchinanadoodaday's latest Lesson of Life, forwarded and reforwarded and reforwarded. Plot's rule is: No Forwards. And Nothing in CAPITAL LETTERS WITH HEARTS AND/OR CUPIDS.

Last night he and Duck drove to Mountain View to see David Henry Hwang's "Yellow Man" and he needed the 40 minute drive home to discuss it and decide whether he liked it or not. He did. No time to talk about it here, though, he'll write his review at home and post it tomorrow. Probably from this chair.

"I wonder if the Japanese are going to close that factory?" she just said. "One man I knew had to move back with his parents. Now they have to feed him and do his clothes. They say they were making military things and now we don't need 'em."

Then:

"I can't remember my social security number."

Go home, Plotnik.

Go home, OR write down everything she says and turn it in to the lyric for a song...or a short story.....
Is this a brach of XOXO from North Beach or did you go all the way over there?
You didn't say anything about eating truffles......that is where they have truffles, right? Yum
