Brooklyn Last Day: Belly's Birthday Party Yesterday

BellyBone's Third Birthday party was a blast, and not nearly as chaotic as you'd expect from having ten 3-year-olds and fifteen parents in the apartment for several hours. The kids all go to the same day-care center and they are used to doing activities in set areas, so there were relatively few dust-ups. The parents as well as the kids all seem like really nice people and Plot, Duck and The Breat BZWZ had as much fun as Belly did. Afterwards, everyone walked down to the playground a block away.

Mom brought out cupcakes with a candle on them.

The Great Plotnik sang some kids' songs. As soon as he brought out PD's guitar, Belly ran into the other room and dragged out a bag filled with percussion instruments for all the kids to play.

Then at night all of the Plotniks plus Grandma Joy went to Tanoreen, a wonderful Palestinian restaurant down in Bay Ridge. On the way home, they passed by this cheese steak shack whose window summed up an exciting week for Big Shmapplonians.

DANG the bagels are good in this town. It's on to Providence later today.

Every kid got a cupcake with a candle? What a great idea! I'm not sure I could handle 10 hyper three-year-olds, but you are made of much stronger stuff than me. Love the pics.
