More Maine Photos: One Man's Ceiling is Another Man's Floor
To a Maine butterfly, that horse poop is absolutely delectable.
Some people would call Bagaduce a fast food stand. That'd be understandable because it looks like a Fosters Freeze, except for the picnic tables above the lake. But how many fast food stands sell fresh lobster rolls? And these onion rings passed the Molten Test: when you got down to the bottom of the carton what was left over was pure fried grease. And there were a lot of 'em.
Plotnik read some on line reviews of Bagaduce this morning. Talk about raves! This place must be every bit as great as he thought it was. Nice call from Finch and Crow.
BTW: lobster roll (small): $9.95. Large basket of onion rings: $5.95.
And to the discussion over several dinners in Deer Isle, here is a photo taken yesterday at our local Asian Fish Market in the Mission. Look at the price for live lobsters.
True, these may not have been Maine lobsters. But they may have been. $8.99 a pound at the retail level doesn't show a lot of hope for the lobstermen who have at least half a dozen middle men between their catch and this tank.
When old barns fall down in Maine they really fall down.
And congratulations to JJ-aka-PP, seen here with The Great PD. She has caught every graduation (at every level) of each of her three nieces and one nephew. It's one more entry in the book for the World's Greatest Auntie Prize.

Horrible timing for reading this post. I'm now ravenous for lunch and it's only 9:20.
Hmmmmmmm, greasy food! FYI, all airplanes and airports were packed for me too last week ~ argh.
Random fact: a butterfly peed on me in Argentina.
