Belly Just Gets More and More Amazing. And Chili.

Just can't get over this picture.

It's a busy weekend, with an old friend and song writing partner giving a concert in town tomorrow and the annual Snowy Valley Voice party on Labor Day and a Word 4 Word performance tonight of Olive Kittredge at Theater Artaud.

We tripled the recipe for Barb's Famous Chili, which came originally from the I Hate To Cook Book, and starts off as a simple collection of canned ingredients from the grocery store. The Plotnik additions are a special combination of chiles -- pasilla, New Mexico, Aleppo and chipotle, plus a little secret here and a little secret there.

So, what do you like to put on top of a bowl of hot chili? Grated cheese? Chopped scallions? Garlicky croutons?

How about more chili? (Actually, cheese and sour cream are great on chili. Chopped scallions sounds good too.)
