Welcome to the Hotel Minneapolis

The Hotel Minneapolis us a Kimpton boutique hotel that we found on an app called Hotel Tonight. You pick a city and, after noon on the day you want a hotel room, various hotels in that city offer seriously discounted same-day rooms. So BZ, Plot and Ducknik are in a glorious revamped old hotel for $87 instead of $269.

We just got back from eating Jucy Lucys ( spelling correct), a Minneapolis tradition, which are two burger patties stuffed with molten cheese. You take a bite and that cheese roars out of that burger like lava. Jucy Lucys, fries and beer, followed up by a trip across the mighty Mississipp' into St. Paul for ice cream. Schlepping the Plotnik's around tonight are Jerry and those Dreis girls, Sue, Jenny and Christy. Sue is Ducknik and JJ-aka-PP's first cousin, and Jenny and Christy are second cousins to BZWZ. They're all wonderful, tall, blonde, beautiful and hospitable people.


The Brooklyn P's left this afternoon to go home. It was a short but very sweet weekend for them up here in the North country. BZ goes back tomorrow morning and then Plot and Duck will have two days to tour around before the train to Glacier.
