Two Reviews

I have to write two reviews todays, both for musicals. The first one, LACISUM EHT, YROTS SAMTSIRHC A, is basically treacle, but had kids in it so that was good. Last night's AMME is magnificent. You'll find reviews in a few hours at SFTB.

That's it for December shows, unless a certain person actually shows up for Christmas, in which case we'll have to take her to see STAGE KISS. 

Incidentally, we decided to take Muni downtown to see the first show the night before last. We waited half an hour for the J, which then terminated at 22nd Street and dumped everyone out onto Church Street, saying, vaguely, "wait at the corner, a shuttle bus should be coming soon." None came.

So we got on the phone, called Uber, and within three minutes we were heading downtown to make the show with five minutes to spare.

Our friends and ex-neighbors are in town and they came over here yesterday -- Uber in from SFO and Uber down to their hotel afterwards. Easy, quick, half the price of a taxi.

So how, exactly, is Uber hurting San Francisco?

Belated Birthday Lunch

Both Plottie and the Mush had birthdays recently so it's time for birthday lunches. Today: the Geneva Steak House. You don't hardly see places like these anymore. We were the only ones there when we got there, and no one came in while we were eating, and when we left the counter man was still resting his chin on his hands behind the salad plates. We might have been it for the day. The food is good and you can't help but love those red leather-ish booths.

Who eats like this anymore?
