Quicksand Begins Today
The Great Plotnik, Theatre Critic, and Mrs. The Great Plotnik, Idea Bouncer-Off-Of of the Theater Critic, are going to see 'Reckless' tonight at San Francisco Playhouse, and
...the 'Twelve Days of Cochina' on Sunday. Possibly, even, if they decide so at the last moment, they may also see Carey Perloff's new 'Luminescence Dating' at the Magic Theatre on Saturday night. What a grand weekend for theater, but not so hot for Christmas Shopping.
Fortunately, the TIAPOS gang gave Plottie some gift ideas last night. Every year, he feels like he's the only human living in a non-Muslim country who finds shopping for Christmas to be equivalent to running through quicksand in an endless nightmare. The Nightmare is December. Today is December One. Aw Jeez.

So share the Christmas gift ideas! We can all use a little help (although shopping for the baby/toddler/preschooler crowd is dangerously easy).
I'll be interested in reading your take on Reckless, which I saw a couple of weeks ago. And if you think you're the only one who's all Scroogey this time of year, you're living under a rock. Everyone is complaining. Except me. I love this time of year. What could be more fun than thinking about the people you love best, imagining what could make their life a little better, and then giving it to them? Plus there's satiny ribbon and colorful paper and homemade cookies around every corner. What's not to like?
