From Little Birds to Cat Feet to PMS

The route goes from the home of the Patron Saint of Little Birds through the City of Carl Sandburg's Little Cat Feet and on to PMS (Politicos Mainly Squabbling), then a short drive to Soft Shell Crabs and finally on to The Big Shmapple. The Great Plotnik hates to leave delicious Sun Gold tomatoes on the vine, but some should still be here when he gets back and the Plotzers should finally be out of their misery. (Yes, Notthat, the light's still on, but oh so faintly.) Last night's dinner of Italian sausages, onions and peppers, plus a huge pile of Sungolds with basil and balsamic vinegar, was meant to provide sandwiches for today's planes. Plottie's got the camera cable but he still hasn't bought a laptop, so...we'll see what we shall see.

Out of your misery! Jeez, traveling the country, seeing old friends, and visiting your daughter who you haven't visited in over a year... you're right, life is hard. Waah, waah.

See DD, even your daughter is confused by all of your niknames! BZWZ, the Plotzers are the Dodgers, not the Plotniks, I can tell you that much. But other than New York, I have no idea where your parents are traveling!

How many months are you gone for? That sounds like a world tour (of who knows what places - maybe I'll do some Googling to see if I can work some of this out).

The Dodgers won tonight (again). Face it - you are going to be miserable this month, fretting over David Wells and Esteban Loaiza.

And I'm jealous.

Thanks to Google "City of Carl Sandburg's Little Cat Feet" must have something to do with this line from a poem he wrote - "The fog comes on little cat feet."

This seems an obvious reference to San Francisco, but so does the Patron Saint of Little Birds (St. Francis of Assisi).

PMS is Chicago? Soft Shell Crabs (Yum!) must be Maryland and the Big Shmapple is obviously Newark.

Or he might be touring Costcos in Nevada.
