A Small World, and Cramped
Plot and Duck landed in Brooklyn this afternoon after an uneventful flight, if you can call crossing the country on a 737 filled to the rafters uneventful.
Plot sat next to a young Brazilian who was reading a book on learning Ukrainian, because his wife comes from Ukraine. And guess who was sitting next to the Brazilian? A real Ukrainian, an old man with that flat-top '50s haircut you see in photos of old Russian May Day parades. He had two teeth -- gold ones.
Now what are the odds of a Brazilian studying Ukrainian in the first place, and then sitting down on an airplane from Saint Plotniko to the Big Shmapple next to another Ukrainian?
And just to make it complete, Plotnik tried to communicate to the old man that Plotnik's two grandmothers came from Ukraine, one of them only a few miles from where the old man still lives. It's a very small world, especially in coach.

Sheeeesh, what a cute photo ~ she has grown so much!
Congrats for surviving the crowded flight! The reward of little Belly waiting for you I'm sure made it all worth it. She sure looks happy! (And big!)
