Fallen Beauty

Yesterday, Plotnik was trimming the fuscia and a bloom fell off in his hand. The same thing happened with a Double Delight rose. What do you do with these beautiful creatures, so ripe they can't stay on the vine anymore and no one to notice them once they fall to the ground?

The roses and bougainvillea are in full flower, like they're digesting every nano second of that rare sunshine.

But take one fallen bract from the bougainvillea and it tells a different story.

And thus endeth today's sermon.

At least with zucchini when the bloom dies you know something useful is not far behind. And your hands look too clean for someone working in the garden.
