Winter in Southern Shmal: Another boringly beautiful day. Pink and white azaleas and red clivia are bursting into bloom in the garden, flowering trees are loaded with blossoms, everything else is green and gorgeous.

Plottie received a text this morning at 7am -- flight tonight delayed an hour. That's always suspicious 12 hours in advance -- so he called and rebooked. Southwest will give you a free plane change if it's more than an hour delay, so he just rebooked on an earlier flight. Always take advantage of being notified by text of flight changes -- he got it even before they updated the information on the telephone and email systems.
