Summer's Over. Spring is Here.

We could feel the fog starting to roll in before we saw it yesterday afternoon -- our annual three day heat wave (we call it 'Summer') was waning and it wouldn't be long 'til we were back into sweaters and Pendletons and the thought of standing outside on the deck after dark to take a "Downtown with Kathy's Window" picture would be unimaginable.

In the meantime, though, Plot and Duck snuck in a few al fresco dinners on the deck with the heat soothing all ills while the tomatoes in pots exploded with growth and Saint Plotniko felt like Sicily. But Summer is over now. Spring has arrived. June and July are the New February and March. We'll have another week of Indian Summer in October. Until then: Sun Until 11AM, Followed by Fog. Go Warriors.

Three days of summer for you means three days of too much heat for us on the peninsula. Selfishly I'm glad your summer is over (although our tomato plants, like yours, really enjoyed the sun).

Which wine glass was yours? The shorter, fuller one or the taller but less full one? And the food looks great, except maybe for that puddle of greenish stuff (which might be fine once I knew what it was, but for now it just looks scary).
