The City of Very Important People

Baby I is back from Mexico. She got a little tan and has learned to crawl backwards. She hasn't figured out forwards, though, so she doesn't end up where you think she will.

But nobody does in Stiletto City. In fact, the place has a new name: The City of Very Important People. In the City of Very Important People, it is perfectly acceptable for a young lady in a black sports car to talk on her cell phone in the slow lane while continuing to blast her horn every fifteen seconds, because it's imperative that everyone get out of her way, because she's so very important. In the City of Very Important People, it's imperative to cut to the front of the 8-items-only line, even though you've got fifteen items, because you have to get where you're going quicker, since you're a very important person.

This place has always been annoying, but it's worse when it's hot.

Starbucks advertises FREE WIRELESS INTERNET but when you get inside you discover 'free' means $6 an hour for a Wireless Pass.

This kind of thing makes Baby I MAD!

But then she heads over to the guitar, as soon as she hears The Great Plotnik's version of Laverne Baker's 'Baby Isabella to the Rescue' and she gets all, you know, interested and fun and laughing and oopsy shoopsy doo wa ditty (GPS 5000 Baby Filter Engaged).

Thank god for babies to take our minds off all that irritating crap. Hope you're having a wonderful time.

Uncle Dougie,

Paula told me last night that you were coming over for a visit on Sunday! I'll be at the Dodgers game, but you should feel free to swing by!!! :) All you can eat bleachers seats for $40--you probably never knew that you wanted that many dodger dogs! Thanks for the wonderful updates as always.
