Exciting! Thrilling! Yawn-n-n!

Last night, the Calamari Rockheads defeated the St. Patooty Piffles by one run in the thirteenth inning. It was an exciting game, a thrilling game, an action-packed game.

What fun is baseball if your team isn't playing, if you don't care who wins, if your stomach doesn't ache, if your heart isn't pounding, if you're not sweating and burping and farting, if you're not screaming after every close play and if you're not sure you're going to live until tomorrow morning if your boys don't come through?

Curse you, Plotzers.

I spent hours doing extensive Googling and have determined that there are no rugby matches until after the first of the year.

And you know you are lying - you were on the edge of your seat all night during that game. You are a baseball fan and will get sucked into the playoffs. You know it can be fun watching stress-free baseball.

Nice poses though...

I was edge of my seat from about the 6th inning on... I even was late to play poker because of the game! Good lord did the Rock's get a break. Hoffman is practically Mariano Rivera of the late 90s, early 00's.

I guess one of the reasons I got so into it, is that I saw a resemblance to the Mariner's '95 Edgar-Griffey double... Those were the days. It's about damn time we get ourselves a championship!

OH! and as an RA, I can do fun programs, like taking 32 Oxy students to the Dodgers game. We went to the 10-3 loss to (who else?) the Rockies. On a better note, it was stadium blanket night. GREAT giveaway :)
