Dark Chocolate and Marshmallows

A person who shall remain nameless loves chocolate covered marshmallows. So there has been a grand search to find the best ones. Godiva's are OK. Noe Valley Chocolate Shop's are good. Ghirardelli's are fair-to-middlin'. But the very best, so far, are from See's. If you ask the white-haired lady in the white dress and white paper hat, she'll bring out the special scotchmallows, which have dark chocolate covering a marshmallow on top of chewy caramel. Not the milk chocolate, that's too sweet for marshmallows, but the dark chocolate. Folks, this is to fall over and start twitching.

Someone we know will be very happy with all of these, and there are more coming.

Oh, yum ~ these are the best candies for that elegant Rose. We all look forward to your Holiday Report beginning (I guess) on Saturday?

If Dark-Chocolate-and-Marshmallows ever craves a change of pace, head right over to Jos. Schmidt's for their dark chocolate mint leaves. Not only are they pretty (with the translucent green sprinkles), but, ohmygod, the combination of dark chocolate and mint is to live for. One caveat, call ahead because they aren't always available. Sometimes there's a waiting list. They are worth the wait though.

Don't be so sure, BZ. I don't remember Jacques Torres wearing a little white paper dress with a white paper cap.
