More Poetry

The Multiku, or seven Haikus strung back to back, has had its origins impugned by one who admits he knows little about Japanese poetry. Has he not heard of the MultiKu-coo, whose verses don't make much sense? Or the the MultiKu-dzu, whose verses twine around and go nowhere?

Poetry is an ancient art. The first humans to acquire language were poets. Archeologists believe their first poems were about rocks, such as this one found depicted on the wall of a primitive out-cave in Lascaux, France. It is in the MultiKu-Two ##!! form: two syllables, then two more, then two more, then a swear word, then two last syllables.

Rock
by (Poet Unknown)

"Rock big.
Rock grab.
Rock drop.
**$$!!
Foot hurt."

Here is a MiniKu: Seven syllables, then six, then five, then four, then three, then two, then one:

Mummy P, Ramen, Deli
Punky, Five Head, Belly
Stiletto City
Sorta Smelly
Always Fun
Here We
Come

For the record, I impugned its authenticity, not its quality (which was stunning).

I'm not sure what the picture of a rock dropping on a tree root has to do with anything though.

And you left Mischief out of your MiniKu. Better bring him a Whopper.
