That's the Way the Mango Crumbles
Many thanks to Dakota Gal Sal for this great photo from last night's Braindead Caribbeans game, in which the Braindeads barely hung on to win a squeaker 13-0.
The winning pitcher was named Sadowski! How 'bout that! What is even more amazing is that the starting pitching rotation for a team named the Caribbeans is made up of Lincecum, Johnson, Cain, Zito and Sadowski. This in an age where every starting pitcher seems to be named Jorge or Ramon.
But baseball is more popular than ever in Latin America, and those guys rarely are named Troy Tulowitski. The Venezuelans and Colombians are not far behind the already-excellent Dominicans, Puerto Ricans and Cubans.
And who are two of Plotnik's favorite Plotzers of all time? Fernando Valenzuela, of course, who is and always will be Number One (Mexico) and Pedro Guerrero (Dominican Republic). It's too bad they didn't get the other Guerrero (Vladimir) but instead signed his useless brother Wilton. But hey, that's the way the mango crumbles.

The Giants have some pitching this year! Wonderful photo.
You never fail to amaze me. I just knew you were making up the name "Wilton Guerrero" but a few clicks and there he was, along with the story of him being busted with a corked bat.
Go Pablo the Kung Fu Panda.
