Providence Day Two: A Wonderful Meal and a Hot Lecture

Veal Parmesan, a Hanger Steak with Pommes Frites and a Pappardelle Bolognese, plus Mussels in white wine and garlic, and thick crusty sourdough to sop up the juices. This must be Providence.

The Great BZWZ's sunny apartment was the perfect place to rest and recharge yesterday morning. In the afternoon, Plot and Duck walked down to campus and back, and then met BZ later in the afternoon at the medical school for a lecture on Somnambulation.

Ducknik and BZWZ enjoyed the lecture. It was Plotnik who kept falling asleep and jerking awake, checking the clock on the wall as it t i c k e d slow ow ow ow ow ly forward.

Plotnik went to Grad School once. He had trouble staying awake for an entire year, but think how much worse it would have been if they had Power Point back then?

If President Obama truly wants to serve the people, all he has to do is eliminate Power Point along with Voice Mail and Imitation Half and Half.

If he wants to get Ahmadinejad to go along with him, give the poor little schmuck a Power Point demonstration in a 95 degree room. Use ten or twenty pages of outlines and suboutlines and sub-sub outlines. Then, read the outline verbatim. Thirty minutes later Ahmadinejad stops nuclear testing and runs out and marries a Jew. Count on it.

MAN, the food is great in this town!

Oh man, now lunch can't come quick enough.

And I think you'd like PowerPoint if you gave it a try. I'm setting up a virtual PP presentation with some snappy slides that will change your mind. Just as soon as I find a few more cute cat pictures and jazz up those pie charts you will be dazzled!

I've turned to bringing homework to seminars so I don't fall asleep. Seriously, out of all of these brilliant scientists, who thought it was a good idea to sit in comfy chairs and turn the lights of for an hour!?
