WOW! Five Stars!
There hasn't been a Cirque du Soleil like the new "Ovo" in many years. Maybe never. The Great Plotnik usually dislikes them more than he likes them, but this time there is nothing to dislike and everything to love. Even the music is good. Yes, you heard that from the fingertips of The Great Music Grinch himself.
Plot and Duck got reviewer tickets in the luxury section, and those would set you back $135 each -- it's really a lot of money. They have sat further back before and enjoyed the show too. Seats go for as little as $55. Plot would recommend the best seats or second best, though.
There is something wonderful and exciting about being in a tent filled with people, while you watch an absolutely astonishing production in front of you.
Wowser. You can read the San Francisco Theater Blog Review of "Ovo" here.
DO NOT take a child though. The performers are all dressed as insects. And while Plotnik loved the level of the music, some might find it overly loud.

But what if my child likes insects? (Or is there some other reason not to take kids?) And this is all outdoors? Wow.
