The Golden Gate from Space

We have gotten kind of hooked on the NASA channel (346). Last week we saw two astronauts talking from the International Space Station, floating in space, tossing the microphone back and before between them. It's kind of low-tech boring, but also unbelievably fascinating. One of those astronauts (Samantha) took this picture that appeared on SFGate this morning.

I grew up loving the NASA channel! I would put it on while doing homework for background noise, but would become mesmerized by the images of earth they would show from the space shuttles and the International Space Station. It was so fascinating!

When I saw Paul McCartney in Concert about 10 years ago, his concert was being transmitted live to the ISS. At one point, he had the cameras show the audience and had us all sing with him. My voice (along with a few tens of thousands other people's) was broadcast in space! :)
