Buddhism and the Republicans: Born Again and Evil Every Time

The Tibetan/Himalaya wing of the Asian Art Museum is filled with priceless art that normally makes no sense whatsoever to the Great Plotnik, though he likes all the heads and arms.

But yesterday was different, because the Plotniks' friend, ex-neighbor and ex-travel agent, who is now a certified docent at the Asian, gave Plotnik, Ducknik, Patsy and friend Kathleen a private tour. It was lengthy and detailed and opened up a hither-to unknown world to Plotnik, a world where Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism all intersect.

Like Plotnikkism, Buddhism is a religion whose views are easily absorbed by believers of any faith. Each deity, like every man, has a good side and an evil side and there is an eternal struggle between the two. Plotnik particularly enjoyed the story of a man who had an evil mother. He tried to help her reach her enlightenment through many lifetimes, but nothing helped, because though she kept dying and being reborn and he kept dying and being reborn, she was still evil everywhere, every time.

Which brings us to politics. The Democrats are damned well going to figure out a way to lose to John McCain (seen above).

McCain can't win. The Democrats can't possibly blow it again. Even Hollywood wouldn't bother with something so improbable. Right?
