Dance-Nik, See-Mo-Nay and Derek Fisher

For some reason, Plotnik didn't remember to take any photos last night of dinner with The Great Dance-Nik and The Great See-Mo-Nay at Wurld Headkwadduhs East. They and the Plotniks sat around the dinner table for a long time, FiveHead and Dance-Nik talking about their favorite dance companies and See-Mo-Nay telling Plot and Duck about her new gallery job and how well things are going for her in Brooklyn. See-Mo-Nay has been around the Plotnik family since she and BZWZ met at age ten and, for the moment at least, she lives right across the street from PD, 5H and BB and is the Designated Mischief Walker whenever they go out of town.

Amazingly enough, this was the first time Dance-Nik had ever met any of the Brooklyn P's. When she first saw the Great Dance-Nik walking up Saint Marks Avenue, FiveHead said "Oh, yes, of course. I recognize you from all your pictures on Plotnik."

It was a great evening and Dance-Nik left to go to a club around the corner, but Plotnik knew he needed to get serious about the Laker basketball game. When he sat down with PD to watch the game, the Lakers were down by a dozen points, but now that he was there they chipped away at that lead. When Ducknik and 5H came in the Lakers were already ahead and then they won the game in overtime. None of it would have happened without everyone sitting on the sofa together watching the game.

Being a Laker fan back East is hard -- the game last night went until almost 1AM. But first Derek Fisher had to hit the first big shot and then the second big shot. When the playoffs started we needed to win 16 games. There's one left.

I really thought Orlando had it in the bag. Orlando should win the next game so that the Lakers can win the series at home with Jack.

Yes - east coast sports watching is hard on people that don't like staying up all night.
