Knock 'em All Down, Harry!
Bowling at the White House was a blast. You have to get through a lot of security, with your boxes of Domino's pizza and 12-packs of beer, but once you do you end up in a little room in the basement of the old Executive office Building, and lo and behold: two bowling lanes and lots of photos of presidents bowling, with and without bowling shoes. Dick Nixon seems to have taken things the most seriously.
Plotnik hadn't bowled for several years, but no one else had either.
Everybody took time to pose under Barack's photo.
Walking down to the bowling alley as the sun was going down, you can see the White House without any of the masses of people. Walking through it, as the Plotniks and Counselor Joe did earlier in the day, you get such a feeling of belonging -- like, this is my country and my history and I'm even prouder of it than I realized when I was standing around outside.
Washington DC is a wonderful city, especially when you've got family and friends here. Today is a garden tour at the White House, and tomorrow the West Wing. Chris is really knocking himself out for us all.

Now lemme get this straight: You went bowling in the fargin' White House!?!?
HOWWWWWW!!
This is almost as cool as that glacier. Maybe cooler. Wow. (I'm surprised they let you bring in beer and pizza and cameras. Don't they know your reputation for flaming blog posts? Granted you are on their side, but still.)
Awesome.
Just to bring you back to earth a bit, Timmy beat the Dodgers today. (I know; that probably had no impact.)
Gee, this is amazing ~ what a blast!
Does he bowl as well as he shoots hoops? What have you done to deserve such VIP treatment? What fun!
