Saint Plotniko Apple and Texas Pete

Spring done sprung up here in Saint Ploniko. When the apple tree blossoms it's official.



If anyone's been checking out the Comments on Plotnik during the last week you'll see that Plottie managed to get hold of a very old friend, the first bass player he ever gigged around with back in the Big Apple days and a great performer in his own right. In those days Pete was just Pete but now he's Texas Pete and lives in the Barbecue Capital of Texas, Lockhart. Here's what he looked like then. Here's what we all looked like then:




And here's Texas Pete recently, playing Tejana music somewhere where it's really, really flat in the background. Got to love a band where the bass player is up front and the guitar player is in the back. We can also see that Pete has added a string since 1972.
