Trip Planning

Found an agriturismo near Trapani today. Looks like a farmhouse, in the hills of Western Sicily, that rents rooms and takes you through the olive orchards. This upcoming trip is sounding better and better.

Things are cheaper in Sicily than mainland Italy, or were until our government shut down. Now, the dollar is dropping against the euro like an eagle who spotted a fish. We're all going to pay for this monumental ego-fueled Republican hubris.

All of this has brought me to a DAY watching CSPAN. What has this world come to? (As my Dad says, it's great reality TV!)

We are feeling it here in Europe big time. My first withdrawal in Italy was shock enough, but it's now costing even more as the exchange rate gets worse almost daily. In Nice, everything is exorbitantly expensive anyway.
