The Plots are in Capital N.
The Chick family has lived at 1483 Harvard St. in Capital N since 1979. When they moved in, Peter said "we'll get the house finished by the time the baby gets married." Ha ha, funny joke. Hannah was born three months later. 28 years later, she's getting married next week. The house is still not quite finished, though Peter has great plans for the kitchen.
Peter is fond of quoting an ancient Indian saying: "Man Who Finishes House Dies."
Peter and Patsy are the only other people in the world who have this photo displayed in their kitchen. Peter is on the right. Plotnik is on the left. Mustapha, the Istanbul masseur, is somewhere out of sight, still waiting for his tip.
Incidentally, being an architect, Peter has access to the finest European home renovation products, like this Italian Visegrippo 2000 door handle.

Peter sounds very wise. And a REALLY like his doorknob. (Patsy must be an extremely patient and tolorant person, and the real hero there.)
I loved this post and their home looks like some place I'd really like to visit. We miss you niks, don't dawdle too long.
