Cousin Mrs. Two Names
Cousin Two Names married Emilio Garza on Saturday afternoon, but after speaking with the committee, it has been decided that she shall maintain her Plotnik name of Cousin Two Names (officially her new name is Cousin Mrs. Two Names). It was a beautiful wedding, officiated by a short, sweet priest and a tall, maniacal rabbi, in a lovely spot on the water in Long Beach, overlooking the Queen Mary. Cousin Two Names looked very beautiful and everyone agreed they'd rarely seen a happier couple.
For Plotnik, it was a nice time to see everyone, and it was a bonus that Mummy Plotnik could come and enjoy the party too. Cousin Judy summed it up best: "It's nice to get together for the happy times."
Certain questions remain:
1) What is in that dome next to the Queen Mary that used to house the Spruce Goose, which has now been taken up to the Oregon shore?
2) Why do rabbis always think they have to explain the entire history of Judaism at every wedding? Does anyone really care about his 'lifelong quest,' as he put it, to find out why Jews smash a wedding glass at the end of a wedding while yelling Mazel Tov? No. Just break the danged glass.
3) Has there been one party in the last thirty years that did not feature 'Celebration' by Kool and the Gang? (Plotnik hopes not. He also REALLY wishes he had written it.)
4) Is there anything more wonderful about a family than graciousness? The Garzas all have it. It's fun to be around them.
5) Would Plotnik have loved to have had the wedding take place in the state of Jalisco, where the Garzas came from originally, the home of the mariachi? Now, would THAT have been fun, or what? We'd all still be there.
6) Why do Plotnik and his brother Shmeckl Plotnik both dance with their arms instead of their legs? Shmeckl looks better doing the Chicken Wing than Plotnik does.
Congratulations to everyone and thanks for a fanatastic night. Cousin Mrs. Two and Cousin E.G., see you again soon.

BZWZ is back in the Apple. Plot and Duck and Mummy P and she talked last night on the phone. The one thing she wasn't waiting for when she got back: how loud Manhattan is. More manana.

TGP doing the Chicken Wing. I sure hope there was video or at least a picture.
And why is the wedding glass broken?
"Many photos were taken. You'll see them in a few days."
