Providence!

Everyone hopped in the car Saturday morning and slogged out of Brooklyn over the Whitestone Bridge and onward to the New England Thruway and up to Providence. BZWZ was waiting in her new apartment, which is beautiful and very large and airy and for which she pays very little, it being Providence, R.I.. Last night everyone went to the Mediterraneo on Federal Hill for dinner, first stopping at Brown University to play on all the green meadows.

BZ's apartment is all windows and up in the trees. It's a great place to sit and play guitar.

Last Friday, the Brooklyn Museum had an exhibit that took up an entire huge installation space. First time through, Plot thought: "What a lot of ado about nothing. Just black lines on white walls." But on second glance he realized it's all black masking tape! The artist did every bit of this space by hand, and she did it out of tape!

Isabella is hanging onto the pole when she rides the subway now. Of course, we're all hanging onto her at the same time. Friday night everyone took the short subway ride into the glamorous Lower East Side of Manhattan for veal goulash and blintzes and beet borscht. Before you get to the restaurant you walk through the crush of the new (hipsters with trust funds) and the old (people picking thrown-away food out of garbage bags).

Ai, chihuahua, but there will be a few minor chords this afternoon when PD, 5H and BB take off to drive back to Brooklyn. But it's been a great ten days. It's beautiful to stay close to Belly but even nicer to spend so much time with PD and 5H. The good news is that Plot and Duck will still be in Providence with The Great BZWZ 'til the middle of next week. Plenty of time for more fun.

What a great blast of pictures - they're very fun. Looks like you had nice weather. I'd love to see how the black masking tape art was done - that really pretty amazing.

It's got to be good for you to see how well your family is doing out there, but I suspect all of them would thrive no matter where they were.

Don't look now, but the Giants are creeping up on the Dodgers.
